Chez Panisse's Alice Waters Visits Frog Hollow Farm, Tastes Organic Peaches

It does get busy on the farm when summer comes around and we're preparing to get our stone fruit out to you. But August 1 was more special than any other day. The packing crew was busy loading up trucks with fruit for the North Berkeley farmer's market, when Chez Panisse proprietor Alice Waters stopped by with special events chef Samantha Green.

We had organized a fruit tasting for them - including a mix of our organic peaches, nectarines, pluots - and our popular apricot conserve spread over cream scones, made fresh in the farm's kitchen.

The peaches we had Alice and Samantha taste were our flavorful O'Henry peaches. All it takes is just one bite to experience the delicious goodness of peach flavor in an O'Henry. Farmer Al showed his guests around the orchard - all three immersed in conversation about organic farming and sustainable agricultural practices.

We are fans of Alice and were delighted to have her at the farm. We hope she comes by soon...
